While BNB Eyes $650, This New Crypto Builds 500% Growth Case

As Binance Coin (BNB) pushes toward the $650 level, investors are once again debating whether the upside in top altcoins is becoming limited. While BNB remains one of the strongest exchange-backed cryptocurrencies, its multi-billion-dollar market cap makes explosive percentage gains increasingly difficult. Many traders are now asking a different question: where is the next crypto 5x opportunity?

Amid this search, a new cheap crypto is quietly building a 500% growth case. Backed by a working product and clear roadmap milestones, it is drawing attention from investors who want early exposure before the broader market catches on.

Binance Coin (BNB)

As of February 13, 2026, Binance Coin (BNB) is trading near $540. While it remains a pillar of the crypto world, its massive market capitalization of over $80 billion is becoming a double-edged sword.

For BNB to see a 500% growth from here, it would need to reach a market cap of nearly $500 billion. This would require an astronomical amount of new capital, making such a jump unlikely in a short period. Investors who once found 10x gains in BNB are now noticing that the “law of large numbers” has slowed its momentum.

Technically, BNB is facing mounting pressure. After breaking below the psychological $600 level, the token has entered a corrective phase. It is currently battling heavy resistance in the $600 to $620 zone. Any recovery attempt is met with selling pressure as the market stays cautious.

While experts believe BNB could eye $650 if broader conditions improve, many traders are choosing to rotate their funds into newer, lower-cost tokens. They are looking for the same type of explosive growth that BNB offered when it was still a small project.

Mutuum Finance (MUTM)

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is  developing a professional, non-custodial lending and borrowing hub designed to address common inefficiencies in DeFi through a dual-market structure. The first layer is the Peer-to-Contract (P2C) model. In this system, users deposit assets such as ETH or USDT into shared liquidity pools and receive mtTokens in return.

These mtTokens act as yield-bearing receipts. For example, if a user deposits 5,000 USDT into a pool offering an 8% APY, they receive 5,000 mtUSDT. As borrowers pay interest into the pool, the redeemable value of those mtTokens increases automatically. There is no need to manually claim rewards; the yield is reflected directly in the token’s value over time.

The second layer is the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) model, which is structured for more customized lending agreements. This framework allows users to negotiate specific rates and loan terms while operating within defined risk parameters.

All loans are over-collateralized and governed by clear Loan-to-Value (LTV) limits. For example, at a 75% LTV, a borrower can access up to $750 for every $1,000 in collateral. If the collateral value falls below the required threshold, an Automated Liquidator Bot steps in to partially liquidate the position, helping maintain overall protocol solvency and protect lenders.

Transparent Growth and Security

The growth of Mutuum Finance is backed by clear and impressive numbers. The project has raised over $20.5 million and has a community of more than 19,000 holders. It is currently in Phase 7 of its presale, with MUTM priced at $0.04.

This is a 300% increase from the Phase 1 price of $0.01 in early 2025. With a confirmed launch price of $0.06, the project is on track to deliver a 500% growth case for the earliest participants by the time it hits exchanges.

Security is not just a promise here; it is a verified fact. Mutuum Finance has completed a full manual audit with Halborn Security, a world-class firm. They also hold a high 90/100 trust score from CertiK.

To keep the community active, the platform features a 24-hour board. Every day, the top daily contributor is rewarded with a $500 bonus in tokens. This competitive element has driven massive demand, making it easy for anyone to join via direct card payments.

V1 Launch and Future Scaling Plans

The most exciting milestone of 2026 is the V1 protocol launch on the Sepolia testnet. This is a working version of the app where users can test lending, borrowing, and the mtToken system. Having a working product before the mainnet launch is a major win for transparency. It shows that the team can deliver complex code on time.

Looking ahead, Mutuum Finance plans to launch a native stablecoin and move to Layer-2 networks. These steps will make transactions faster and cheaper, which is essential for a high-performance DeFi crypto.

Phase 7 is quickly selling out as investors realize the $0.04 price is a final chance for a discount. While BNB struggles to break past $650, Mutuum Finance is proving that utility and a low entry point are the keys to 500% growth in 2026.

Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum

Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum

The post Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. A crypto whale lost more than $6 million in staked Ethereum (stETH) and Aave-wrapped Bitcoin (aEthWBTC) after approving malicious signatures in a phishing scheme on Sept. 18, according to blockchain security firm Scam Sniffer. According to the firm, the attackers disguised their move as a routine wallet confirmation through “Permit” signatures, which tricked the victim into authorizing fund transfers without triggering obvious red flags. Yu Xian, founder of blockchain security company SlowMist, noted that the victim did not recognize the danger because the transaction required no gas fees. He wrote: “From the victim’s perspective, he just clicked a few times to confirm the wallet’s pop-up signature requests, didn’t spend a single penny of gas, and $6.28 million was gone.” How Permit exploits work Permit approvals were originally designed to simplify token transfers. Instead of submitting an on-chain approval and paying fees, a user can sign an off-chain message authorizing a spender. That efficiency, however, has created a new attack surface for malicious players. Once a user signs such a permit, attackers can combine two functions—Permit and TransferFrom—to drain assets directly. Because the authorization takes place off-chain, wallet dashboards show no unusual activity until the funds move. As a result, the assets are gone when the approval executes on-chain, and tokens are redirected to the attacker’s wallet. This loophole has made permit exploits increasingly attractive for malicious actors, who can siphon millions without needing complex hacks or high-cost gas wars. Phishing losses The latest theft highlights a wider trend of escalating phishing campaigns. Scam Sniffer reported that in August alone, attackers stole $12.17 million from more than 15,200 victims. That figure represented a 72% jump in losses compared with July. According to the firm, the most significant share of August’s damages came from three large accounts that accounted for nearly half…
