SOLANA BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–AEVEX today announced the appointment of Christi Morrison as Chief Legal Officer. Morrison brings extensive experience as a senior legal executive and trusted advisor to boards and executive leadership teams, supporting AEVEX’s continued growth and operational scale.

In her role, Morrison will oversee AEVEX’s global legal, compliance, and governance functions, serving as a strategic partner to the executive team and Board of Directors. She will support enterprise-wide risk management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and complex transactional matters as the company continues to expand its portfolio of defense technologies, unmanned systems, and advanced aviation solutions.

Morrison joins AEVEX from Weatherford International plc, where she most recently served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. In that role, she led corporate governance and legal operations for a global organization with operations spanning multiple continents. She was a key member of the leadership team that guided the company through a complex, multi-jurisdictional corporate restructuring.

“Christi is a seasoned legal leader with deep experience navigating complex governance, compliance, and risk environments at scale,” said Roger Wells, CEO of AEVEX. “Her ability to partner closely with boards and executive teams, combined with her business-focused approach, will be instrumental as AEVEX continues to grow and operate across increasingly complex global missions.”

Throughout her career, Morrison has advised boards of directors and C-suite executives on corporate governance, securities law, executive compensation, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise risk management. She is known for building high-performing legal organizations that deliver efficient, business-aligned legal services, leveraging process design, technology, and disciplined outside counsel management to support corporate objectives while mitigating risk.

Morrison holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&M University. She has been recognized as a Senior Counsel of the Year by the Association of Corporate Counsel and Texas Lawbook and has received multiple leadership and achievement awards for her contributions to corporate legal excellence.
