LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The epic robot-fighting series BattleBots powered by Bright Data is making a triumphant return to the screen with 20 all-new episodes featuring an exclusive Pro League of 24 elite robots from around the world.

The series, which begins filming in Las Vegas in April, is slated to premiere June 25, 2026 with Bright Data watch parties hosted around the world in tech hubs. It will be released weekly on YouTube through November, before being distributed to broadcasters internationally in early 2027. The news follows the announcement earlier this month of a ground-breaking sponsorship deal with Bright Data, the leading public web data infrastructure company for Artificial Intelligence and Business Intelligence.

The BattleBots Pro League powered by Bright Data consists of 24 of the biggest, baddest, strongest and fastest next-generation robots from all over the world. They include household names such as former World Champions Tombstone and New Zealand’s End Game, as well as newcomers, including the world’s first AI-controlled robot Orbitron, from Canada. Also selected for the league are fan favourites Witch Doctor and Hypershock from Florida, Brazilian champion Minotaur, and bots from Australia, India and the United Kingdom.

Each episode will be accompanied by Bright Data-powered statistics, polling fans, and stacking up the competition.

For the first time, millions of BattleBots fans worldwide will be able to watch the competition at the same time free of charge, without having to pay streaming or cable charges. Edward Roski, BattleBots co-founder, said: “Our fans have been begging us to release new content globally, and now, thanks to YouTube and our great new sponsor Bright Data, we’re able to achieve this. We already have almost 3 million YouTube subscribers, and over 10 million views in the past month. We can’t wait to launch the Pro League season, powered by Bright Data, which will transform the BattleBots brand across the world.”

“We are excited to be part of this transformational year in which fighting bots make a comeback on the screen,” said Or Lenchner, CEO of Bright Data. “As fans ourselves, we are working to up the experience with watch parties at our global locations and competition dashboards.”

BattleBots regulars Chris Rose, Kenny Florian and Faruq Tauheed will host, but the championship format differs dramatically from previous BattleBots seasons. The 24 elite robots will battle each other and the hazards of the huge bulletproof BattleBox in a series of ferocious no-holds-barred Group Stage matches, with the winner of each group emerging to take part in a knockout winner-takes-all competition. It culminates in a final fight to the death to establish the first BattleBots Pro League World Champion. The winner will take home the new BattleBots Bright Data Pro League trophy.

Filming takes place at the BattleBots Arena, next to the Horseshoe Casino, over three weeks from Saturday 18th April. Tickets for the event are available for advance purchase by BattleBots Supporters from today and will go on general public sale through Ticketmaster from next Monday 2nd March. Each filming session lasts up to three hours, depending on the fight schedule. The full list of robot teams in the Pro League can be found on battlebots.com

Which Altcoins Stand to Gain from the SEC’s New ETF Listing Standards?

On Wednesday, the US SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) took a landmark step in crypto regulation, approving generic listing standards for spot crypto ETFs (exchange-traded funds). This new framework eliminates the case-by-case 19b-4 approval process, streamlining the path for multiple digital asset ETFs to enter the market in the coming weeks. Grayscale’s Multi-Crypto Milestone Grayscale secured a first-mover advantage as its Digital Large Cap Fund (GDLC) received approval under the new listing standards. Products that will be traded under the ticker GDLC include Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano. “Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund $GDLC was just approved for trading along with the Generic Listing Standards. The Grayscale team is working expeditiously to bring the FIRST multi-crypto asset ETP to market with Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano,” wrote Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg. The approval marks the US’s first diversified, multi-crypto ETP, signaling a shift toward broader portfolio products rather than single-asset ETFs. Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas explained that around 12–15 cryptocurrencies now qualify for spot ETF consideration. However, this is contingent on the altcoins having established futures trading on Coinbase Derivatives for at least six months. This includes well-known altcoins like Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), and Chainlink (LINK), alongside the majors already included in Grayscale’s GDLC. Altcoins in the Spotlight Amid New Era of ETF Eligibility Several assets have already met the key condition, regulated futures trading on Coinbase. For example, Solana futures launched in February 2024, making the token eligible as of August 19. “The SEC approved generic ETF listing standards. Assets with a regulated futures contract trading for 6 months qualify for a spot ETF. Solana met this criterion on Aug 19, 6 months after SOL futures launched on Coinbase Derivatives,” SolanaFloor indicated. Crypto investors and communities also identified which tokens stand to gain. Chainlink community liaison Zach Rynes highlighted that LINK could soon see its own ETF. He noted that both Bitwise and Grayscale have already filed applications. Meanwhile, the Litecoin Foundation indicated that the new standards provide the regulatory framework for LTC to be listed on US exchanges. Hedera is also in the spotlight, with digital asset investor Mark anticipating an HBAR ETF. Market observers see the decision as a potential turning point for broader adoption, bringing the much-needed clarity and accessibility for investors. At the same time, it boosts confidence in the market’s maturity. The general sentiment is that with the SEC’s approval, the next phase of crypto ETFs is no longer a question of ‘if,’ but ‘when.’ The shift to generic listing standards could expand the US-listed digital asset ETFs roster beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. Such a move would usher in new investment vehicles covering a dozen or more altcoins. This represents the clearest path yet toward mainstream, regulated access to diversified crypto exposure. More importantly, it comes without the friction of direct custody. “We’re gonna be off to the races in a matter of weeks,” ETF analyst James Seyffart quipped.
