Aave ‘Will Win’ Temp Check Passes with 52%

Aave’s “Aave Will Win” framework has passed the Temp Check vote, the first official stage of the protocol’s governance process. The off-chain Snapshot vote that ended on Sunday resulted in 52.58% in favor, 42% against, and 5.42% abstentions. This outcome advances the proposal to the Aave Request for Final Comment (ARFC) stage; where terms can be revised and prepared for the binding on-chain vote.

The framework requests token holders to approve 42.5 million USD in stablecoins and 75,000 AAVE tokens for Aave Labs. In return, Aave Labs will direct 100% of the revenue from Aave-branded products to the Aave DAO treasury and adopt a DAO-funded operating model. The narrow-margin approval reflects a divided community debating changes in the protocol’s funding, revenue alignment, and long-term development structure. Aave founder Stani Kulechov stated on X that this brings the protocol closer to a “fully token-focused model.” Critics questioned the size of the funding package and the voting power carried by the 75,000 AAVE tokens. Community feedback will be considered during the ARFC stage, followed by the Aave Improvement Proposal (AIP) on-chain vote.
