PANews reported on March 5th that, according to The Block, Morgan Stanley has filed an amended S-1 filing with the SEC for a Bitcoin ETF, designating Coinbase Custody and Bank of New York Mellon as custodians. The filing also designates Bank of New York Mellon as the fund's administrator, transfer agent, and cash custodian, with Coinbase acting as the lead broker. The fund will track the spot price of Bitcoin.
Morgan Stanley is the sixth-largest bank in the U.S. by assets and previously filed for an IPO of the Solana Trust. Coinbase is the primary custodian for most U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs.
