The U.S. Department of Defense has designated Palantir's AI system as a key project.

PANews reported on March 21 that, according to Reuters, the U.S. Department of Defense will designate Palantir Technologies' Maven artificial intelligence system as a "documented project." The Department of Defense is rapidly integrating the technology into its operational activities. Deputy Secretary of Defense Steve Feinberg announced this policy decision in a letter to other defense officials. Feinberg stated that designation as a "documented project" will facilitate the integrated application of the Maven system across the various branches of the military. Palantir's Maven intelligent system is a digital mission control platform that has been deployed in the Iran nuclear deal, assisting in the attack on 1,000 targets in the early stages of the conflict.
