Copy-trading followers also pay a 10% to 20% share of realised profit, and withdrawal fees are fixed per coin and network.
This guide adds the two things most fee pages skip: the VIP ladder that decides when a maker stops paying the taker rate, and what a 1,000 USD order costs across eight Bitget products.

Key Takeaways
  • Bitget charges 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot at VIP 0, and a maker pays the same rate as a taker until VIP 2.
  • The 20% BGB deduction appears on the spot schedule only, so a perpetual taker still pays 0.060% no matter how much BGB you hold.
  • Spot and perpetuals run on two separate VIP ladders, and VIP 1 needs 500,000 USDT of spot volume but 5,000,000 USDT of futures volume.
  • The same 1,000 USD costs 0.50 USD as a spot stock order, 1.00 USD as a spot crypto trade, 1.20 USD as a perpetual round trip and 19.00 USD as a non-USD card purchase.
  • On the same orders MEXC charges 0.0000% maker and 0.0500% taker on spot, and its MX deduction reaches futures as well as spot.
  • Bitget lists the United States, Canada and Japan among its prohibited countries, and neither platform holds a MiCA authorisation, so EEA readers should treat this page as a fee reference only.

Bitget describes itself as a Universal Exchange, and its fee page has grown to match, with tabs covering spot, perpetuals, margin interest, crypto loans, deposits and withdrawals, spot stocks, stock perpetuals and US stock options.
Most people never scroll past the first cell of the first tab, which is where the 0.10% figure lives.
That cell is accurate, but it hides the two facts that decide what an active trader actually pays: makers get no discount at the base tier, and the token discount does not reach the perpetuals book.
Several widely circulated figures for Bitget are also out of date, so every number below comes from Bitget's Fee Center and Support Center, with the retrieval date stated.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against Bitget's Fee Center tabs for spot, futures, spot stocks and stock perpetuals, its Product Fees FAQ (updated 20 August 2026), and its Bitget Card Fee Schedule (updated 23 December 2025). Rates can vary by region and by pair during promotions, as Bitget's fee page notes.

Spot: the maker question

On most exchanges a resting limit order earns a discount, because it adds liquidity to the book.
On Bitget it does not, at least not at first: VIP 0 and VIP 1 both charge makers and takers the same rate, 0.10% and then 0.08%.
The first gap opens at VIP 2, where makers pay 0.065% against 0.07% for takers, and it only becomes wide at VIP 7, where makers pay nothing and takers pay 0.03%.
A trader who works limit orders all day therefore gets no reward for it until the 30-day spot volume passes 2M USDT, or the balance passes 50,000 USDT, or the BGB holding passes 21,834.

Perpetuals: three margin types, one schedule

Bitget's futures tab lists USDT-M, Coin-M and USDC-M perpetuals side by side, and all three carry 0.020% maker and 0.060% taker at VIP 0.
The taker rate holds at 0.060% through VIP 1 and only falls to 0.040% at VIP 2, which on the futures ladder means 10M USDT of 30-day futures volume.
Funding settles every 8 hours between longs and shorts and is not a fee Bitget keeps, but it belongs in the cost of any position held for days.
If you trade perpetuals more than spot, our comparison of the lowest futures fees across exchanges sets Bitget's 0.060% against the other major venues.

Copy trading, bots and Convert

Followers in Bitget copy trading pay the normal spot or futures fee on every mirrored fill, plus a profit share of 10% to 20% that each lead trader sets and that is deducted only when a copied trade closes in profit.
If a lead trader turns positions over often, the accumulated taker fees on every mirrored fill can outweigh the profit share.
Self-configured Spot Grid, Futures Grid and Position Grid bots have no subscription fee, so each fill simply pays the standard rate.
Convert is listed at zero fee with a spread that varies with market conditions, and P2P is zero fee on both sides, with any cost coming from the payment method.
We compared copy trading profit share across platforms in a separate piece, since the percentage matters more than the headline fee for followers.

Stocks and TradFi

Bitget's stock perpetuals sit on the same schedule as its crypto perpetuals, 0.020% maker and 0.060% taker at VIP 0, and the fee page counts CFD volume at 10% when it adds up your 30-day futures total.
Spot stocks routed through StockRoute show 0.05% maker and taker on the fee tab, which the same page describes as a promotional rate against a 0.1% base.
The tab states that the 50% discount ran through 31 August 2026 and that later promotions would be announced separately, yet it still displayed 0.05% on 9 September 2026, so check the tab on the day you trade.
StockRoute orders filled during US market hours, including pre-market, after-hours and overnight sessions, are charged the taker rate regardless of order type.

Bitget Card

The Bitget Card charges 0.90% per purchase, with a further 1% on top of Visa's rate for non-USD transactions.
The first virtual and physical cards are free, but a 1 USD monthly inactivity fee starts after 12 months without a transaction, and ATM withdrawals cost 0.65 USD plus 2%.
Bitget also places a temporary authorisation hold up to 20% above the purchase amount, which is released once the transaction settles.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against the spot and futures tabs of Bitget's Fee Center. The balance route is met by either the daily asset balance or the 30-day average balance. Bitget adjusts the BGB thresholds dynamically.
Any one route qualifies you, and Bitget assigns the highest level you meet on any of the five measures.
The level refreshes at 09:00 UTC+8 every day, sub-accounts inherit the main account's rate, and the whole VIP system applies to non-institutional users only.
The same level also sets your 24-hour withdrawal limit, from 3M USDT at VIP 0 to 20M USDT at VIP 7.
Two details in the small print matter for large traders: zero-fee pairs do not count towards spot volume, and an account whose 30-day spot volume passes 50M USDT or futures volume passes 100M USDT loses its rebate eligibility if API orders make up 20% or more of that volume.

Does the 20% BGB Discount Apply to Bitget Futures?

No, not as a direct deduction.
The spot tab of Bitget's fee page carries a column headed "Maker / Taker BGB fee discount -20%", which takes VIP 0 from 0.10% to 0.08%.
The futures tab has no such column, and Bitget's support page says futures fees can be reduced by holding BGB or increasing volume, which is the VIP route rather than a deduction.
For a perpetuals trader that changes the arithmetic: holding BGB can lift your VIP level, but the 0.060% taker rate itself does not shrink by 20% the way the spot rate does.
If you trade both books, enable the BGB deduction for spot and treat your BGB holding as a VIP qualifier for futures, because that is how the page prices it.

The Two Bitget Fee Layers That Never Reach the Fee Table

The trading fee is layer one of three.

Conversion and fiat rails

Convert charges 0% and earns on the spread, so the cost shows up as a worse rate rather than a line item.
Fiat purchases run through third-party providers under Bitget's Terms of Use, so card and bank costs are set by the provider and can exceed anything on the trading schedule.
The Bitget Card's 0.90% per purchase belongs in this layer too, because a 1,000 USD spend costs nine times a 1,000 USD spot order.

Withdrawal fees

Deposits are free, with the sending network's fee paid on the other side.
Withdrawals carry a fixed fee per coin and per network, displayed on the withdrawal screen and on the Deposit/Withdraw tab of the fee page.

Bitget figures verified as of 9 September 2026 against the Deposit/Withdraw tab of Bitget's Fee Center, where the BTC Lightning route was marked Suspended. MEXC figures verified as of 19 August 2026 against the Deposit/Withdrawal tab of MEXC's official fee page.
The pattern is the same on both platforms: the base chain is the expensive route and a layer-2 or BEP20 route costs a fraction of it, so the network you pick moves the bill more than the exchange does.
Between the two, MEXC's ETH mainnet fee is about one eighth of Bitget's and its Arbitrum fee about one fiftieth, while the BTC mainnet gap is narrower at 0.00002 against 0.00003.
Our guide to the crypto exchanges with the lowest withdrawal fees works through the USDT routes, where the spread between chains is widest.

Bitget Fees vs MEXC on the Same 1,000 USD Order

Before the comparison, one sentence on who can act on it: Bitget's Terms of Use list the United States, Canada and Japan among its prohibited countries, MEXC does not serve residents of the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, and neither platform holds a MiCA authorisation.
If you live in one of those places, read the rest of this section as a fee reference rather than a recommendation.
MEXC's official fee page, retrieved on 9 September 2026, lists 0.0000% maker and 0.0500% taker on spot, 0.010% maker and 0.040% taker on standard USDT-M perpetuals, and Special Rates of 0.000% and 0.020% on BTCUSDT and 0.000% and 0.010% on ETHUSDT.
The MX deduction cuts the taker rate by 20% and, unlike BGB, it applies to futures as well as spot once MX is transferred to the futures wallet.

Multiply those orders by a year and the gap turns into a bill.
A trader filling 10,000 USD of spot a month as a taker pays 120 USD a year on Bitget, 96 USD with BGB, 60 USD on MEXC and 48 USD with MX.
A trader filling 100,000 USD of perpetuals a month as a taker pays 720 USD a year on Bitget with or without BGB, 480 USD on MEXC, 384 USD with MX, and 240 USD if the flow is all BTCUSDT.
A maker-only spot trader on the same 10,000 USD a month pays 120 USD on Bitget and nothing on MEXC, because MEXC's spot maker rate is zero from the first order.
Neither volume comes close to Bitget's VIP 1 thresholds, so the base rate is the rate that applies for the whole year, and our roundup of which exchanges are zero on every line shows how rare a zero maker rate is.

The MEXC View

We work for MEXC, and this section is where we say what we think rather than what the tables say.
On price, the comparison is not close for a manual trader: 0.0000% against 0.10% on spot maker, 0.0500% against 0.10% on spot taker, and 0.040% against 0.060% on standard perpetual taker, with a token deduction that reaches futures on MEXC and stops at spot on Bitget.
Here is where Bitget is ahead.
Copy trading is one of the products Bitget is best known for, and if following lead traders is the reason you trade, its profit-share model is the product to compare, not the base fee.
Bitget's VIP ladder can be climbed on balance alone, so a 30,000 USDT account reaches VIP 1 without trading a single extra dollar, and its VIP 0 withdrawal limit of 3M USDT a day is generous.
Bitget's stock perpetuals and StockRoute spot stocks give its users exposure to US stock prices on one schedule, and its 0.05% StockRoute rate, promotional or not, is a competitive number.
Bitget publishes a monthly Merkle-tree Proof of Reserves and describes a Protection Fund on its own site, both of which count for something when you are choosing where a balance lives.
One more concession that matters for bots: MEXC bills API futures orders on a separate schedule of 0.06% maker and 0.08% taker from 1 June 2026, and its announcement says the API schedule takes precedence over web and app rates, so an automated trader pays less on Bitget's 0.060% taker than on MEXC's API schedule.
Our full MEXC vs Bitget comparison covers leverage, listings and stocks alongside fees, and the rules we apply to every number are set out in how we verify exchange data.

Who Should Pay Bitget's Fees, and Who Shouldn't

Pay them if copy trading is the point, if you can reach a VIP level through your balance rather than your volume, or if you want crypto, stock perpetuals and spot stocks priced on one account.
Pay them if you run bots through the API at meaningful size, because Bitget's 0.060% taker undercuts MEXC's API schedule.
Look elsewhere if you are a manual spot trader who works limit orders, because Bitget gives makers nothing until VIP 2 and MEXC charges them nothing from the start.
Look elsewhere if you trade perpetuals by hand at retail size, because the 0.060% taker rate does not fall until 10M USDT of monthly volume and the BGB deduction does not touch it.
If you are weighing a move, our guide to Bitget alternatives compared for 2026 puts the same fee math against six other platforms.

Where each platform is available

Bitget's Terms of Use, last updated 17 August 2026, name the United States and its territories, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Austria, France and Germany among its prohibited countries, alongside sanctioned jurisdictions.
The United Kingdom is not on that list, but UK readers who want local protections should confirm their access with Bitget and consider a platform on the FCA register.
For the European Economic Area, Bitget's own statement of 2 July 2026 says Bitget EU has applied to Austria's FMA under MiCAR and will provide services in the EU only once authorised, and on 9 September 2026 that page still described the authorisation as pending.
MEXC is not available to residents of the United States, the United Kingdom or the EEA, it appears on ESMA's list of non-compliant entities, and it is offboarding Netherlands customers by 31 October 2026 with final offboarding on 16 November 2026.
EEA readers should check any provider against ESMA's statement on the end of the MiCA transitional periods, which points to the register of authorised providers.
On that basis we do not recommend that residents of Japan open an MEXC account, and Japan-resident Bitget users should plan withdrawals around the close-only date rather than the year-end deadline.
Our page on where MEXC is and is not available lists the full set of restricted regions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Bitget's spot trading fees?
Bitget charges 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot at VIP 0, or 0.08% with the BGB deduction enabled.
The rate falls with VIP level to 0% maker and 0.03% taker at VIP 7, verified 9 September 2026.

What are Bitget's futures fees?
USDT-M, Coin-M and USDC-M perpetuals all charge 0.020% maker and 0.060% taker at VIP 0.
The taker rate first drops at VIP 2, which needs 10M USDT of 30-day futures volume, and reaches 0.02% at VIP 7.

Does Bitget charge deposit fees?
No, crypto deposits are free on Bitget, and the only cost is the network fee paid by the sending wallet or exchange.
Withdrawals carry a fixed fee per coin and network shown on the withdrawal screen.

Does the BGB discount apply to Bitget futures?
Bitget's fee page shows the 20% BGB deduction column on the spot tab only.
On perpetuals, BGB holdings count towards your VIP level, and Bitget's support page describes that as the way to lower futures fees.

How do Bitget VIP levels work?
You qualify through 30-day spot volume, 30-day futures volume, daily or 30-day balance, or 30-day average BGB holdings, and Bitget assigns the highest level you meet.
Levels refresh at 09:00 UTC+8 each day and sub-accounts inherit the main account's rate.

How much are Bitget withdrawal fees for BTC and ETH?
On 9 September 2026 Bitget charged 0.00003 BTC on the Bitcoin network and 0.0002 ETH on Ethereum.
Layer-2 and BEP20 routes are far cheaper, for example 0.00003 ETH on Optimism and 0.00000191 BTC on BEP20.

Does Bitget charge for copy trading?
Followers pay the standard spot or futures fee on every copied fill plus a profit share of 10% to 20% set by the lead trader.
The profit share is deducted only when a copied trade closes in profit.

Are Bitget Convert and P2P free?
Both are listed at zero fee.
Convert earns on the spread, and P2P costs depend on the payment method or bank rather than on Bitget.

How do Bitget fees compare with MEXC?
MEXC charges 0.0000% maker and 0.0500% taker on spot and 0.010% maker and 0.040% taker on standard perpetuals, with the MX deduction applying to both.
MEXC is not available to residents of the United States, United Kingdom or EEA; see the full MEXC vs Bitget comparison.

Trading crypto, perpetual futures, stock perpetuals and tokenized stocks involves significant risk, including the loss of your entire deposit, and leverage magnifies both gains and losses.
Fee schedules, VIP thresholds, promotions and withdrawal fees change without notice, so confirm the live figures on each platform's official fee page before you trade.
