Another lawmaker has gone missing from Congress — and she's currently running for re-election.
Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) has not voted on any issue since April 17, according to her documented voting record, and she has not yet addressed her absence as she nears four weeks away from Capitol Hill without explanation, reported The New Republic.

However, her team has been keeping her social media accounts active in an apparent effort to give the impression that Wilson is still on the job. An X post highlighted by Capitol Hill correspondent Jamie Dupree reused photos of the congresswoman from an event in October.
The 83-year-old Democrat does not appear in video footage of meetings held by either of the two committees she sits on — Transportation and Infrastructure or Education and Workforce — since she last voted in the House.
Wilson is seeking another two-year term in the 24th Congressional District seat she's held since 2013 representing Miami-Dade area and Broward County, but she faces an Aug. 18 primary challenge from Christine Sanon-Jules Olivo, a small business owner with ties to the NAACP.
The prolonged absence of another lawmaker, Rep. Thomas Keane (R-NJ), is causing a stir as reporters and his constituents ask about his whereabouts after he stopped answering calls, and House SpeakerMike Johnson (R-LA) eventually reached him and found he had been battling an unspecified “personal health matter.”
Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) went missing from Congress for months in 2024 before her planned retirement, and she was found to be undergoing dementia care at an assisted living facility.
