According to Odaily, Alliance co-founder Imran said competition between Pump and Fomo could help on-chain finance expand beyond its current niche on Crypto Twitter and reach mainstream consumers. As trading-focused content creators and trading-related content such as Market Bubble and Counterparty continue to grow, the on-chain finance industry could expand by at least an order of magnitude. Previously, shturl.c launched an incentive program to attract users from FOMO, offering eligible users a one-time $20,000 signing bonus and fixed monthly compensation of $30,000.
Hyperliquid RWA Trading Surges, but External Developers Capture Fees as HYPE Revenue Continues to Decline
According to CoinDesk, Hyperliquid’s RWA perpetual futures activity is growing rapidly. Open interest reached approximately $11 billion on July 13, while perpetual trading volume approached $178 billion over the past 30 days. However, quarterly protocol revenue declined from approximately $357 million to $202 million. HIP-3 allows external developers who stake 500,000 HYPE to create perpetual markets and receive up to 50% of trading fees. Developer-deployed markets now account for roughly half of the platform’s perpetual volume. Because approximately 97% of trading fees are used to buy back HYPE, this revenue distribution also weakens the token’s buyback support.
More Than 100 Crypto Projects Have Shut Down in 2026 as the Industry Enters a Large-Scale Consolidation Phase
According to CoinDesk, more than 100 crypto projects have shut down, filed for bankruptcy, or permanently ceased operations since the beginning of 2026. The affected businesses include trading platforms, wallets, DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, and Layer 1 networks. Many altcoins have fallen by 70%–90%, shortening the operational runway of teams that use their own tokens to pay employees, subsidize liquidity, and cover security-audit expenses. According to Cointelegraph, Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik said Robinhood is unlikely to issue an ecosystem token because it could compete with the company’s publicly traded stock, HOOD. Robinhood’s Layer 2 network already operates within the Ethereum ecosystem and uses a gas token to pay network fees, reducing the need for an additional platform token. According to Odaily, South Africa’s National Treasury and the South African Reserve Bank have released draft rules governing cross-border crypto-asset transfers. The proposal would allow individuals to transfer crypto assets abroad within existing foreign-exchange allowances but restrict companies from conducting such transactions. It would also limit certain deposits from private self-custody wallets to local crypto-asset service providers. VALR co-founder and CEO Farzam Ehsani warned that the framework could push businesses and individuals toward offshore platforms, driving legitimate activities such as cross-border stablecoin payments underground and reducing regulators’ ability to monitor transactions. The SFC stated that neither Polar Tensor nor the listed websites are licensed to conduct regulated activities in Hong Kong. Unlicensed platforms may solicit investors through social media, instant-messaging groups, influencer promotions, or false licensing claims. Before transferring funds or connecting a wallet, users should verify a platform’s licensing status through official regulatory records to avoid losses caused by fraudulent investment promises or withdrawal restrictions.
Ironwood Becomes Zcash’s Largest Privacy Pool, With Approximately $955 Million in Assets
According to Odaily, the Ironwood privacy pool has surpassed Orchard to become the largest privacy pool on the Zcash network by asset value. Ironwood currently holds approximately 1.9044 million ZEC, worth about $955 million at the recorded market price. It reached this scale around 11 days after activation, indicating that ZEC assets are rapidly migrating to the new privacy pool.
