Applying to Recover a Deposit Due to an Unfilled/Incorrectly Filled Memo/Tag
What Is the Purpose of a Memo/Tag?
A Memo/Tag is additional address information required for transfers of certain cryptocurrencies to identify the intended recipient of the transaction. For tokens such as XRP, ATOM, XLM, and BTS, the wallet address alone is not sufficient. A correct Memo/Tag must also be provided for the transfer to be completed successfully.
On the MEXC platform, for tokens that require a Memo/Tag, such as XRP and ATOM, all users share the same deposit wallet address. Therefore, only by entering the correct deposit Memo/Tag can the system accurately allocate the assets to your account.
How to Recover Your Assets
If you forgot to enter the Memo/Tag or entered it incorrectly when making the transfer, you can apply for asset recovery by submitting the Uncredited Deposit Return Application form. For detailed instructions, please refer to How to Fill Out the Uncredited Deposit Return Application Form.
Terms and Rules
1. MEXC will do its best to help recover your assets. However, due to the complexity of blockchain networks, MEXC cannot guarantee 100% asset recovery in all cases.
2. If MEXC is unable to recover the assets, deposits of unsupported tokens may result in permanent loss.
3. Since asset recovery requires substantial manual review and processing, a handling fee may be charged once your submission is approved. The specific amount will be subject to the amount displayed on the page.
4. After your application is approved, an estimated completion time will be shown. If the asset recovery is particularly complex, the actual completion time may be extended.
